Why We Give

God has given us everything—our lives, our family, all of the physical blessings we enjoy, and most importantly salvation through Jesus Christ. Giving to the church is a way to reflect God’s generosity and show gratitude for all He has done for us. Giving is an act of worship and obedience to God. Just as we sing, pray, and serve, giving financially is another form of honoring God. It demonstrates our thankfulness for His provision. Giving is an essential part of good financial stewardship. It reminds us that everything we have comes from God, and we are merely stewards of His resources. By giving to the church, we exercise responsible management of the blessings God has entrusted to us.

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6 that our giving is an investment in eternal rewards. By prioritizing God’s kingdom with our finances, we focus on things that have lasting, eternal significance rather than temporary earthly gains. When we give, especially when it’s sacrificial, we grow in our trust in God’s provision. It reminds us that our security is not in money or possessions, but in God. Matthew 6:19-21 - "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Giving is a way to support the mission and ministry of the church in reaching people with the love and message of Jesus Christ. Our financial contributions support the church’s mission to spread the Gospel, help the needy, and serve the community. The church depends on the generosity of its members to fund ministries, outreach programs, and daily operations.
