Mark Niehls is a fifth generation restorationist. He has served as youth minister, Bible class teacher, church bus program coordinator, and summer camp counselor. Having served as a deacon first, he was appointed as an elder of the Chesmont Church of Christ in 2012. He has served on the boards of Delaware Valley Christian Camp, Inc. (Camp Manatawny) and Coventry Christian Schools, Inc. He currently serves on the boards of Wheeler Care Centers, Inc., a non-profit personal care home, and Project Purpose, a non-profit tutoring and mentoring program to students. Mark has served on the staff of Coventry Christian Schools since 1984. He served on the Board of Directors of the National Christian School Association for over 15 years. In addition to local outreach efforts, Mark has been involved in multiple mission trips to Haiti, Latvia, and Mexico to build a school and serve on a medical mission team, conduct camps for orphans, and build houses for the homeless respectively.

Mark is happily married to Beverly J. (Koch) Niehls, MD since 1979. She has taught Bible classes and ladies classes, and served as counselor, kitchen staff and medical director at Camp Manatawny. She too has volunteered time and effort to the mission efforts in Haiti and Latvia. She is engaged in building a medical clinic in Haiti. They have two grown children who both serve in Christian ministry, one adopted married son, and eight grandchildren.
